This week we were able to preview this great event because we helped make it happen! Night of a Million Lights is a holiday event at the amazing Give Kids the World Village (GKTW).
This is a great socially distanced event, which was really needed to put us in the mood for the holidays! Here is our review.
Update: Night of a Million Lights will take place again in 2021! And we will be there making magic happen again!
Give Kids the World Village
Give Kids the World is an amazing place. The Village is an 89-acre resort. It has many villa accommodations for the Wish families. It has many entertainment attractions and activities for children of all abilities. Mini golf, a wonderful pool area, rides, horse stable, playground, and so much more.
Give Kids The World Village has welcomed more than 176,000 families from all 50 states and 76 countries on their wish trips for critically ill children. Learn more about the Village here.
Give Kids the World is primarily volunteer-staffed, as is this event. Every year our family volunteers at Give Kids the World making magic for terminally ill children.
Fun fact, our family initially learned about GKTW when volunteering with Make a Wish of Michigan sending families down to Central Florida on wish trips, and Give Kids the World!
There are so many ways to get involved with GKTW from volunteering if you are local, or even when you visit on vacation, to helping send kids on their dream trip with your local wish organization. The families you will meet will be forever grateful.

The rides are opened (which we will be back one night to operate!), including the carousel. Make sure you look at the lights in the “garden” that The Goofy 5 hung! And get your ice cream and hot cocoa in the poo areal!
There is a lot of walking, so make sure to bring a stroller for any little ones, and your walking shoes!
