We love Disney’s Vero Beach Resort! We have been staying at Vero once to twice a year since 2014 for 1-3 nights at a time. We have stayed in an inn room, a one-bedroom villa and also a two-bedroom villa. We have visited in July, August, September, October, and most recently January.
We loved coming in January! Day one was beautiful and we were able to enjoy both the pool and the beach. Day 2 however, was a bit chilly. We did see many Northerners still enjoying the pool! The best part of January: No Bugs! It was great to see the Christmas decorations still up!
Disney’s Vero Beach Resort has many planned activities, but overall it is a much slower-paced vacation than Disney World. I like to think of it as a beach vacation with Disney touches.
We enjoy the campfire (and smores!), walking the beach, pool games, and water slide races. Past years we have participated in the craft activities (tie-dye T-shirts and pumpkin painting in October). But we do miss the now-defunct archery!
Since we are able to drive to Vero, we like to board our dog nearby. Several years ago we found Orchard Island Dog Spa. Our dog Thunder always comes home happy, as he gets lots of play time and is not in a cage all day. A bonus is it is super close to the resort!
We ventured off-site for dinner at Mulligan’s Beach House. We enjoy the food and atmosphere. It was really good!
We love the pool area at Vero. From the slide and water slide races to the pool side DJ and games. The cast members at Vero can not be beat! Many years we leave there There is also mini-golf (free for DVC members) and a toddler splash area.
In closing, we really enjoy Disney’s Vero Beach Resort. It is a quieter vacation than Disney World, but even with teens, we have found plenty to do. Look for a future blog post about other things to do in the Vero Area while visiting the resort.
Disney’s Vero Beach Resort is on our bucket list! After reading your post, I think we’ll move it up on the list!
Thanks Alison! We really enjoy Vero! A few days is perfect, especially after a Disney Trip! Hope you love it too!
