The new Kernel Kitchen in Walt Disney World is an interesting Disney Treat concept. Our family LOVES popcorn. We eat it every single day. So we just had to try it. Here is our review.
This is a fun way to customize your own popcorn creation. It is always great to see new snacks and foods at WDW.

Location of Kernel Kitchen
The Kernel Kitchen is located inside the Main Street Confectionery in Magic Kingdom in Disney World. It is located on the end closest to the entrance to the park. For those not familiar with the Main Street Confectionary, it is located on the right side of Main Street as you are facing Cinderella’s Castle in Magic Kingdom.
What does Popcorn Creation Mean?
1 – Pick your Popcorn Flavor
Choose between different flavors of popcorn as your base. These flavors seem to change. On our visit, there was a choice of butter flavor, cheddar, and caramel. However, I have seen photos also including rainbow flavor.
2 – Select a Syrup
Choose between dark chocolate, milk chocolate, and white chocolate.
3 – Combine with Candies
There are many to choose from. There are 2 base prices for the popcorn creation. Two or three candy toppings, with additional toppings at a cost.
Mix it up
Then a cast member mixes it all up and bags it for you.
Our Creation at Kernel Kitchen
My husband got this Disney snack treat. He selected butter popcorn, dark chocolate syrup, M&Ms, and pretzels.

Review of Kernel Kitchen
Was the cost of this Disney treat worth the money? No, absolutely not.
As you can see from the photo, some of the popcorn was spilled going into the bag. So the cast member proceeded to add more popcorn and drizzle syrup on it. At first, we thought we just didn’t get the full experience of the creation from that. But even as they got down deeper they found it disappointing. Let’s just say that almost a week later half the bag is still in the fridge uneaten.
Unfortunately, the Kernel Kitchn does not get added to the best snacks in Disney World list.
